Elizabeth (Hartman) Enochs, 86, of Cambridge, passed on peacefully to her new home, on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Embassy of Cambridge, the former Cambridge Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Elizabeth, affectionately known as “Betty Jane” to family and friends, was born on February 20, 1937, a daughter of the late Earl J. Jones, and Elizabeth Katherine (Curty) Jones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of over forty-seven years, Joseph Hartman Jr; a daughter, Beth Ann Hartman, and two brothers, Robert L., and John Jones.
Betty Jane was a lifelong homemaker, living most of her life in Zanesville, Ohio, where she raised her children, taking care of her husband Joe, and tending to her beloved Westie Pups.
She was a steadfast volunteer for 20 years, at Genesis, formerly the Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.
Betty Jane loyally attended the Byesville Assembly of God Church.
She was a 1955 graduate of Philo High School.
Don and Betty Jane were avid travelers, vacationing in places that included Israel and the Holy Land, Belize, the Panama Canal, and together they spent many winters in Florida.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting and cooking, and her Holiday Noodles were eagerly anticipated by her family.
Betty Jane is survived by her husband, Donald “Don” Enochs, whom she married on March 24, 2009; a son, Brady Joe (& Connie) Hartman, of Punta Gorda, FL, two daughters; Paula Kay (& Ray Lombardo) of Naples, FL, Julie Lynne Hartman of Zanesville; Donald’s, daughter, Valerie (& Joe) Herman; six grandchildren; Duncan Hartman of Tampa, Fl, Joshua Wieder of Los Angeles, CA, Sydney Hartman of Tampa, FL, Brady Hartman of Bowling Green, OH, Andrew Hartman of Zanesville, and Lilia Wieder of Dallas, TX,, Valerie’s daughter, and granddaughter to Don and Betty Jane, Sarah (& Nick) Sopko of Green; many nieces, nephews, and good friends that included her faithful church family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 11 am to 1 pm, at the Byesville Assembly of God Church.
Funeral Services will immediately follow the visitation at 1 pm, with Pastor Joe Summers officiating.
A private family burial will take place on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Zanesville Memorial Park.
