Jewel Nadine Moorehead, 93, of Cambridge passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the Embassy of Cambridge.
Jewel was born in Cambridge, on August 23, 1930, the daughter of the late Ledlie and Alva (Kesselring) Knight.
Jewel was a personnel director at several plastic factories in the area. She attended First Christian Church and while there was a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship. She was also a member of the Business & Professional Women’s Club. Jewel enjoyed spending time with family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Moorehead, whom she married August 21, 1949, and who passed March 14, 1997; her son, Earl Moorehead; and her brothers, Richard and George Knight.
She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Taylor of Cambridge, Theresa (& James) Jackson of Cambridge, and Alva (& Bill) Johnson of Horn Lake, MS; 8 grandchildren; 4 great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, February 23, 2024, from 11AM to 1PM at Thorn- Black Funeral Home in Cambridge, with the service to immediately follow. Rev. Glen Schory. A private burial will be held at a later date.
