Grace Hannahs, 99, of Quaker City, died Monday (October 15, 2018) at the home of her daughter in Columbus.
She was born December 4, 1918 in The Sugar Camp (Monroe County OH), daughter of the late Jerome Morris and Mabel (Carpenter) Morris.
She was a member of the Beaver Baptist Church and attended Summerfield High School.
Mrs. Hannahs was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Vernon Hannahs, who died July 19, 1958; two sons, Brice E. Hannahs and Marion Max Hannahs; two brothers, Robert and Racey Morris; and three sisters, Lola Martin, Maxine Sawyer, and Martha Stephens.
She is survived by two sons, Arnold Eugene (& Patricia) Hannahs of Urbana and Bradley H. Hannahs of Summerfield; three daughters, Saundra Bennett of Zanesville, Rosalie Bausch of Columbus, and Kathy L. Hannahs of Columbus; a brother, McKinley Morris of Summerfield; a sister, Janet (& Roger) Christman of Baltimore; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Norma and Connie Hannahs; and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday (October 18, 2018) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Cecil Betts officiating.
Burial will follow at Beaver Baptist Cemetery.
