Alan Robert Arick

Alan "AlBob" Robert Arick, 55, of Quaker City, died Friday (June 12, 2015) at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He was born June 25, 1959, in Barnesville, to William and Linda (Pekari) Arick. Mr. Arick retired from Centria on May 1, 2015, where he worked for 36 years as a maintenance man. He enjoyed spending time with his family, being outdoors, boating at Seneca Lake and motorcycling. Alan was a 1977 graduate of Shenandoah High School. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Christian Arick, whom he married June 23, 1979; his parents, William and Linda (Pekari) Arick of Quaker City; a son, Jason (Lyndsay) Arick of Caldwell; two daughters, Christi (James) St. Clair of Cambridge and Annette Arick (Joe Fisher) of Quaker City; two brothers, Vince and Scott Arick of Quaker City; two sisters, Vicki (Michael) Roe of Bethesda and Karla (Kevin) Tracy of Temperanceville; five grandchildren, Tyler, Colie, Cami, Aiden and Elian; and all of the friends who became family at The Lighthouse. Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Thorn-Black Funeral Home in Quaker City. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday (June 16, 2015) at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Copely officiating. Burial will take place in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
