Alberta Mae Woods

Alberta Mae (Seaton) Woods, 81, of Byesville, passed away Monday (July 10, 2017) at Astoria Place. She was born July 10, 1936 in New Concord and was the daughter of the late Davis Albert and Freda Lucille (McConkey) Seaton. Alberta was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting. She was a member of Main Ave. United Methodist Church, Byesville where she was also a member of United Methodist Women. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Woods who passed away August 27, 1979; two sisters, Mary Martha Seaton and Vonda Marie Bateman; three brothers, James, Richard, and Rodney Seaton. She is survived by two brothers, Roy Roger (Marge) Seaton of Cambridge and John Seaton of Zanesville; and several cousins. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Nancy Parsons officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery.
