Alene C. Mcbride

Alene C. McBride, 88, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (August 19, 2015) at the Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 19, 1927 in Hickory PA, daughter of the late Clifford Clark Carlisle and Wilhelmina (Stewart) Carlisle. Mrs. McBride had worked as a clerk at J.C. Penney and JoAnn Fabrics. She enjoyed sewing and needlepoint work. She was a member of the Mt. Prospect Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry S. McBride, whom she married May 19, 1948 and who died in 1997. She is survived by a son, Robert McBride of Pittsburgh PA; a daughter, Janie McBride of Cambridge; a sister, Doloris Loughry of Hickory PA; and three grandchildren, Stephen McBride of Ashburn VA, David McBride of Carmichaels PA, and Dillon (& Jennifer Fuller) McBride of Carmichaels PA. No calling hours will be observed. No funeral services will be held at this time. Burial will be at Mt. Prospect Cemetery, at a later date.
