Alfred R. Perry Jr.

Alfred Ray Perry Jr. , 86, of Cambridge died Friday (April 20, 2018) at his home.

He was born on December 25, 1931 in Cambridge, son of the late Alfred R. Perry Sr. and Rose ( Larrison) Perry.

Mr. Perry retired after 32 years as a parts delivery driver for NAPA and Guernsey Auto Parts. He was an avid sports fan. He attended Cambridge High School. He was a member of the Guernsey Senior Center. He was an Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Sue Perry; a sister, June Ann Sigman; and a son-in-law, Jack Gibson.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Franklin) Perry, whom he married March 7, 1959; two daughters, Sandra Gibson of Bucyrus and Jody (Scott) Reed of New Concord; two sons, Robert (Polly) Perry of Cambridge and Joseph (Beth) Perry of Urichsville; a sister, Julia Archer of Cambridge; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Visitation will be held Thursday (April 26, 2018) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m.
