Alice M. Beam

Alice M. Beam, 76, of Cambridge, died Saturday (January 12, 2013) at her home. She was born March 8, 1936 in Norwich, daughter of the late Bibert Bales and Alice Marie (Darner) Bales. Mrs. Beam was a receptionist for Dr. Duff's office for many years. She attended the Ninth Street United Methodist Church of Cambridge. She dearly loved her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Allen Beam Sr.; and a sister, Norma Murrey. She is survived by a son, Allen Beam of Cambridge; a brother, Dean Bales of Dresden; and two grandchildren, Eric Beam and Kyle Beam. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday (January 16, 2013) at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
