Alice M. Hill, 57, of Kimbolton, passed away Friday (January 7, 2011) at home surrounded by family. She was born November 2, 1953, in Cambridge, the daughter of Alice J. (Fife) Miller and the late Robert C. Miller. Mrs. Hill was a Registered Nurse for Hennis Care Centre in Dover, where she was a unit manager for 20 years. She was Methodist by faith; attended Cambridge High School and Belmont Technical College, where she obtained her nursing license (RN); member of ANAAC; enjoyed going on cruises, walking and running in the Relay For Life for breast cancer; and spending time with family and grandchildren. On August 7, 1971, she married Junior N. Hill of Kimbolton. Her father, Robert C. Miller, preceded her in death. Survivors include her mother, Alice J. Miller of Kimbolton; husband, Junior Hill of Kimbolton; three sons, David (Melissa) Hill and Jimmy Hill, both of Kimbolton, and Rick (Teresa) Hill of Quaker City; one daughter, Stephanie (Boone) Matthews of Cambridge; three brothers, Bob Miller of Kimbolton, Dan (Debbie) Miller of West Lafayette and John (Sherri) Miller of Cambridge; five sisters, Agnes (Gib) Durben of Kimbolton, Mary (Bimbo) Burris of Cambridge, June (Tim) Johnson of Kimbolton, Tammy (Bruce) Archer of Kimbolton and Beth (Jody) Dye of Senecaville; 18 grandchildren, Brian, Brittany, Brandon, Brody, Bryce, Brayden, Audriana, David, Eric, Justin, Kyle, Courtney, Nikki, Richard, CG, Talia, Ricki and Haley; two great-grandchildren, Landon and Rayanna; an aunt, Rose Stackhouse of New York; sister-in-law, Linda Barr; brother-in-law, Terry Hill; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday (January 11, 2011) at 1 p.m. with Pastors John Sims and Phillip Hines officiating. Burial will be in the Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
