Alice Lucille (Walsh) Scoggin, 92, of Canfield OH, died Tuesday (March 20, 2012) at her new home in Zanesville OH. She was born September 9, 1919, a daughter of the late Stanley and Clara Walsh. She was a registered nurse and worked all over the United States during WWII and later in Boardman OH for six years. She was a member of the Canfield Presbyterian for many years and the Duncan Falls Presbyterian Church more recently. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Scoggin Jr., who died in 2000; and her sister, Ruth Carlin. Surviving are three daughters, Susan Scoggin of Oconomowac WI, JoAnn (& John) Scoggin-Sundheim of Los Olivos CA, and Gail (& Dennis) Schultice of Zanesville; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday (April 28, 2012) at 10 a.m. at the Duncan Falls Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will also be held on Saturday (April 28, 2012) at 3 p.m. at the Canfield Presbyterian Church. As an expression of sympathy, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Alice's name to one of the following organizations: 1) Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley, PO Box 298, Youngstown OH 44501; or 2) Duncan Falls Presbyterian Church, Box 245, Duncan Falls OH 43734.
