Amil Choma, 85, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (September 23, 2015) at Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care, Zanesville. He was born March 5, 1930 in Guernsey County, son of the late John Choma and Anna (Regrut) Choma. Mr. Choma retired from Bi-Con, where he had been a construction manager for many years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He always felt fortunate that he was able to travel to Alaska not once, but twice in his lifetime. Mr. Choma was a US Army veteran, having served during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Ellis, John, Michael, Steve, and Joseph; and two sisters, Josephine Farrar and Anna Altvater. He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Kirkendall) Choma, whom he married March 17, 1957; a son, Mark (& Tina) Choma of Cambridge; three daughters, Kim (& Bruce) Longfellow of Columbus, Jill (& Paul) Syverson of Frederick WI, and Melisa (& David) Seel of Pataskala; a sister, Margaret Rohrabaugh of Chino Hills CA; four grandchildren, Andria, Erika, Deanna, and Shelby; a great-granddaughter, Ella; and numerous nieces & nephews. No calling hours will be observed. No funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725 or to a charity of one's choice.
