Andrea "Ann" Preston, 71, of Cambridge, passed away Friday (January 24, 2020) at OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
Ann was born October 23, 1948 in Cambridge, the daughter of the late George and Alyce (Addis) Williamson.
Ann worked in customer service in various banks in Cambridge and Zanesville for many years, and also worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville, before completing her career at the Cable Company in Cambridge.
Ann pursued her passions in life; she was a member of a monthly craft group with family and friends, also known as a talented and accomplished painter, showing her art locally as an (active) member of the Art Guild. No passion, however, was as great as her love for her family and serving others. Ann loved tending to her flowers and garden, just as she nurtured people. Always one to make you feel special whether on her porch or in her living room, you always felt better when you left (usually with a full belly and ample 7-Up). She was, and forever will be, known as "Annie Pannie" to her great nieces and nephews. Though Ann was not a member of a church, she was a born again believer
Ann attended John Glenn Schools until her junior year, and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1966.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and David Williamson, a nephew, Shane Williamson, and a brother-in-law, Chuck Coulter.
Ann is survived by her husband Dick Preston, whom she married October 17, 1970; a daughter and son-in-law, Brandee and Tom Sherfy, Zanesville; a sister, Becky Coulter; a sister-in-law Peggy Williamson; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday (January 28, 2020) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Wednesday (January 29, 2020) at 11 a.m. A dinner will follow the funeral services at the Elks Club, Cambridge.
Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
