Anna Hight

Anna Hight, 82, mother of Jerry Hight, of Cambridge, passed away Tuesday (May 20, 2014) at home due to cancer. She was formerly of Huntley IL. She was born June 7, 1931 in Hungary, daughter of the late Heinrich Mammel and Giesela (Heid) Mammel. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Hight was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Huntley IL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Robert Hight, who died August 19, 2009; and a daughter, Sandra A. Hight. She is survived by two sons, Jerry Hight of Cambridge and Thomas (& Sabine) Hight of Colorado Springs CO; and four grandchildren, Sean Robert Lapuk, Jodie Olga Hight, Jeffrey Dale Hight, and Marlene Sandra Hight. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday (May 24, 2014) at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge, with Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Huntley IL. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions may be made to one of the following organizations: 1) Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725; or 2) Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road - Suite 200, Bethesda MD 20814.
