Arlene Ann Starr, 69, of Cambridge, died Thursday (May 17, 2012) at Southeastern Med in Cambridge. She was born June 29, 1942, in Cambridge, daughter of the late Edwin and Garnett (Huff) DeVore. Mrs. Starr was a homemaker, a wonderful cook and she loved her pets. She was a member of the Bethlehem Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister; Emma Jo Webb. She is survived by her husband; James; three sons, James Michael (Sherri) Starr of Caldwell, Jeffrey Allen Starr and David Edwin Starr, both of Cambridge; six brothers, Robert (Nancy) DeVore of Florida, Roger (Janet) DeVore and Gary (Mary) DeVore, both of Byesville, Paul (Nancy) DeVore, James (Debbie) DeVore and Richard DeVore, all of Cambridge; four sisters, Mona Bynon of Old Washington, Karen Ferguson of Cambridge, Nolie Burton of Atlanta, Ga., and Donnie (Dustin) Hulboy of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Matthew Starr, Jennifer Cachat, Ryan Larrick and Erica Starr; and three great-grandchildren, Kolby Larrick, Caleb Larrick and Quinn Cachet. Visitation will be Sundayfrom 4 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 21 with Pastor Roger Morrow officiating.
