Atla Macdonald

Atla MacDonald, 87, of Cambridge, passed away Sunday (January 4, 2009) at the Beckett House, New Concord. She was born on July 4, 1921 in Cameron, daughter of the late Jeremiah Hartline and Emma (McConnell) Hartline. Mrs. MacDonald was the owner/operator of a printing company for many years. She was an avid reader and was prolific with her needlework, which she often gave as gifts. She was a fan of all sports, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harrington MacDonald, who passed away on June 6, 1986; two sisters; and five brothers. She leaves two sons, Paul (& Diane) Minder of The Villages FL and Jack (& Judy) Minder of OH; a daughter, Sharon (& William) Armstrong of Lore City; two sisters, Hazel Mellott of Rittman and Sara Wells of Lima; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. No calling hours will be observed. No services will be held at this time.
