B. Juanita (Graham) Kyle

November 3, 1921 — August 15, 2008

B. Juanita (Graham) Kyle went home to Heaven to her Lord on August 15, 2008 at her home. She was born November 3, 1921 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late A. Rea and Burdena E. (McDowell) Graham. She graduated from Zanesville High School and also Meredith Business College of Zanesville. She attended Baptist Institute of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During WWII, she worked at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. She later worked for H & R Block of Cambridge. She was also a Girl Scout leader. Mrs. Kyle was a homemaker, raising their two children with her husband, Leonard E. Kyle, who survives. They were married January 27, 1945 on her parents' 25th wedding anniversary at her parents' home. Her favorite hobby was designing and making hats out of common & unique items, displaying them at the Quaker City Folk Festival. She was recognized in The Daily Jeffersonian and Ohio Magazine for her work, known as the "Mad Hatter of Ohio Hills". Mrs. Kyle attended the Guernsey County Senior Center and Golden Sixties. She was a Christian and a member of Bible Baptist Church of Cambridge. She was also a violinist and played organ & piano at the church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dana D. Kyle. She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Leonard E. Kyle of the home; a daughter, Melody Kyle (Clark) Law of Cambridge; a grandson, Kyle C. Law of Cambridge; an aunt and several cousins. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held on Monday (August 18, 2008) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Steve Leathley officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
