Barbara Sue Abrams

Barbara Sue Abrams, 71, of Belpre, formerly of Cambridge, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at her home.

She was born February 12, 1955 in Melvin KY, daughter of the late Heston Scarberry and Victoria (Collins) Scarberry.

She was a member of the Four-Square Gospel Church of Cambridge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Stewart Abrams, who died September 14, 2018; an infant brother, Heston Scarberry Jr. and her brother, Richard Scarberry.

She is survived by a son, Jesse (Carissa) Scarberry of Cambridge; three daughters, Mary Smith of Belpre, Denise Edwards of Indiana, and Amy Mitchell of New Concord; a sister, Betty Scarberry of Chillicothe; twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her special companion, Chester Wilson, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 5PM-7PM at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge with the funeral service the following day, Monday, July 20, 2026, at 12PM with Evan. Mark Beros officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
