Barbara E. (Dennis) Thompson

Barbara E. (Dennis) Thompson, 43, of Marietta, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday (August 24, 2011) at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born March 13, 1968 in Cambridge, daughter of Evelyn J. (Morrison) Dennis-Ayers and the late Harry Hubert Dennis. Mrs. Thompson worked at All-For-Kids, where she was a pre-school teacher. She was an avid Ohio State fan. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Jean Rominger; and a granddaughter, Malaia Francis. She is survived by her husband, Carl Thompson; her mother, Evelyn (& Charles) Ayers of Winterset; three daughters, Amber Dawn Hazinakis, Heather Lynn Hazinakis, and Brittany Ann Hazinakis all of Cambridge; a brother, Harry (& Jade) Dennis of Tennessee; a sister, Ruth (& Carlos) Nalley of Woodsfield; a grandchild, Nevaeh Francis; and several nieces, nephews, aunts & uncles. Family and friends may call on Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held on Saturday (August 27, 2011) at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Glenview Cemetery, near Winterset. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Thorn-Black Funeral Homes, Inc.
