Barbara Jane Miller

Barbara Jane (Clipner) Miller of Cambridge, Ohio passed away May 19, 2023, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. She was born on December 14, 1951, in Cambridge, Ohio, daughter of the late Homer B. and Mary L. (Triplett) Clipner. She was a 1969 graduate of Zane Trace High School.

Barbara retired from Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. She was also the owner of The Hobby Haus located in downtown Cambridge for many years. On her off time, she enjoyed cross-stitching, painting and had a green thumb with house plants.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by a husband, Richard F. Nelson, and an infant son, Richard (Ricky) Francis Nelson, Jr., both of whom passed away in 1978.

Barbara leaves a daughter, Angela R. (Mike) Marshall, grandson, George B. (Andrea) Marshall, and great-granddaughter, Lindsay R. Marshall, and step great-granddaughter, Jocelyn M. Marshall. She also leaves behind her sisters Connie S. Clipner, Cheryl J. Kuhn and Nancy (Mel) Groh, as well as niece and nephews, Samantha K. Groh, Michael G. Groh and Glenn Groh, as well as several great nieces and nephews. Barb will fondly be missed as the "spitfire" of the family.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 11am at Zion Cemetery in Cambridge. Pastor Jeff Berguson will officiate. Thorn Black Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
