Barbara Jean Norman

June 2, 1941 — November 13, 2021

Barbara Jean Norman, 80, of Cambridge, died Saturday (November 13, 2021) at Southeastern Med, Cambridge.

She was born June 2, 1941 in Cambridge, daughter of the late William "James" Fisher and Bernice I. (Goins) Fisher.

Ms. Norman retired from March Electric after twenty-eight years of service as a line worker.

She was a member of the Anchor Church of Cambridge and the Greater Bethel Apostolic Church of Cambridge.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, and crafts.  She loved her cats dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant children; and two brothers, William Fisher and Edgar Fisher.

She is survived by two sons, Marcos (Jo) deJesu of Coshocton and Ronald (Laura) Norris of Pittsford NY; a daughter, Maureen (Ken) Bauer of Canton; six grandchildren, Katherine Norris, Bryan Bauer, Kenny Bauer, Tanner deJesu, Nichole deJesu, and Colin (Lyndsie) deJesu; a great-granddaughter, Alanna Simon; a special cousin and friend, Bonnie Brown; and many family, friends, and neighbors.

Visitation will be held Tuesday (November 16, 2021) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and also on Wednesday (November 17, 2021) from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Elder Nathan McDonald, Elder Carlos Morris, and Elder Randolph White officiating. Friends and family are welcome, but due to COVID-19 please take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety and everyone else's should you decide to attend.

Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
