Barbara Jean Nugent

Barbara Jean Nugent, 68, of Cambridge, passed away at her home on Wednesday (February 13, 2008). She was born on November 7, 1939 in Cambridge, daughter of Christine (Hulka) Nugent and the late Lawrence Paul Nugent. Miss Nugent was a former employee of the Guernsey County Library and also of St. Benedict Catholic School. She was a member of the St. Benedict Catholic Church. Miss Nugent was a 1957 graduate of St. Benedict High School. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Libby Jackson. She leaves her mother, Christine Nugent of Cambridge; eight siblings, Sister Mary Ann Nugent of Manitowoc, Peggy (& Bill) Ditto of Cambridge, Larry Nugent of Cambridge, Jim (& Gluiz) Nugent of Alpharetta GA, Winnie (& Henry) Wells of Lore City, Bill Nugent of Longmont CO, Paul (& Deb) Nugent of Omaha NE and Tricia (& Jerry) Jones of Columbus; two uncles, Msgr. James B. Nugent and Msgr. Michael Andrew Nugent both of Columbus; an aunt, Mary Helen Hulka; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and a brother-in-law, Richard Jackson of Coshocton. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where a wake service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday (February 18, 2008) at 10 a.m. at the St. Benedict Catholic Church with Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be at Mt.
