Barbara E. Willey

Barbara E. Willey, 58, of Cambridge, died Sunday (June 21, 2015) at her home. She was born May 30, 1957 in Zanesville, daughter of the late Leslie Carpenter and Geneva (Holland) Carpenter. Mrs. Willey was a STNA licensee and had worked at various nursing homes throughout the area. She was baptized in the Church of Christ in 1969. She enjoyed listening to country music and watching Days of Our Lives. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Heidi S. Willey; two brothers, Larry D. Bailey and Myron G. Carpenter; and a sister, Violet Bailey. She is survived by her husband, Paul Willey, whom she married July 28, 1978; three sons, Paul Willey Jr. of Lucasville, Travis Willey of Cambridge, and Brian Willey of Claysville; a daughter, Chasity Willey (& Derek Jones) of Cambridge; a brother, Bill Dillon of Texas; a sister, Bonnie Carpenter of Byesville; ten grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; sisters-in-law, Susan (& Timothy) Ogle of Byesville, Tina Willey of Cincinnati, and Diane Willey (& Robert Touvell) of Cambridge; and brothers-in-law, Robert (& Nancy) Willey of Cambridge and Richard Willey of Cambridge. Visitation will be held Monday (June 29, 2015) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m.
