Bernard E. Cutlip Jr, 69, of Antrim, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on June 5, 1953, in Akron, Ohio, the oldest of six children to Bernard E. and Marjorie (Burgy) Cutlip Sr., who survive.
Ben loved and served his Savior, Jesus Christ, with his whole heart. He and his wife, Marsha, sang Christian contemporary gospel music at many area churches and family and community events throughout their entire married life. Ben never knew a stranger and was always ready to help anyone in need. He brought joy into the lives of many, many people.
Ben worked at the Cravat Coal Company, R&L Feed Company, Midway Oil Company, and in retirement, Ormes Hardware in Cambridge. He was a worship leader and member of the Lions of Cambridge.
Ben married the love of his life, Marsha (Wolf) Cutlip on September 12, 1971. That union was blessed with three children, Sarah (James) Kimble, Benjamin (Shannon) Cutlip, and Elke (Shawn) King. Also surviving are his seven grandsons and one granddaughter: Codey (Sadie) Kimble, Catherine (Dylan) Armstrong, Isaac, Aiden, and Josiah Cutlip, Aden Braden, and Blaiz King, and one great grandson, Rhett Armstrong. Also left to cherish his memory are his four brothers and one sister: Carl, Clare, Jeff, and Bob Cutlip, and Renee Shaw.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022, from 11AM-1PM, with a service to immediately follow at 1st Baptist Church in Cambridge, Ohio. Pastor Jon Lobos will be officiating.
