Beth Ann Dawson Rose, 55, of Kimbolton, Washington Township, passed away Thursday (Sept. 5, 2013) at her home. She was born the youngest of five children on Aug. 13,1958, in Troy, to Wesley W. and Barbara (Pettay) Dawson. She has four older brothers and sisters, Linda J. McGillivay of Piqua, Cheryl A. Newsome of Willow, Alaska, James W. Dawson of Anchorage, Alaska, and Jeffrey A. Dawson of Kimbolton. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Leathel Dawson, Fred and Freda Pettay. In addition to her parents and brothers and sisters, she is also survived by four nieces, four nephews, 16 great-nieces and nephews and a great-great-nephew. Also, her Jack Russell Terrier, Sally. Beth graduated from Charlotte High School in Charlotte, County, Fla. She enjoyed playing the clarinet in the band. She completed beautician school in Sarasota, Fla. She moved to Guernsey County in 1978, worked in Birmingham Store, drove school bus for East Guernsey Schools. Finally, went to work in the offices at Salt Fork Resorts. She worked there until her eyes began to fail. Beth loved to work with flowers, enjoyed gardening. Her greatest joy was fishing in Ontario for Walleye. She loved the Lord, spent much time working with her friends at church. She was an active member of Irish Ridge Methodist Church. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11 at the Irish Ridge Methodist Church with the Rev. Cheryl Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in Irish Ridge Cemetrery, with the Rev.
