Betty Jean (Ford) Alloway, 59, of Cambridge passed away Sunday (December 7, 2008) at the Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 18, 1949 in Cambridge, daughter of Florence Lucille (King) Ford of Antrim and the late William Blair Ford. Betty was an employee of Riesbeck's where she was a doughnut maker for 8 years and a cashier for 5 years, and was a 1967 graduate of the former Madison High School. She was a member of Antrim United Methodist Church, also enjoyed crafting and crocheting. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Sandy Ford, a nephew, Jonathan Ford and an infant brother. She is survived by three sons, William F. (Tina) Alloway III of Cambridge, Joseph S. (Sandi) Alloway of Goshen, IN., and Douglas S. (Josslynn Stahl) Alloway of Cambridge; one daughter, Constance (Kenneth L.) Roupe of Aliquippa, PA.; three brothers, William O. (Martha) Ford of Cambridge, Robert L. (Shirley) Ford and Kenneth W. (Ruth) Ford, both of Antrim; grandchildren, Kenny and Melinda Roupe of Aliquippa, PA.; Joseph Jr., Joey and Anastasia of Goshen, IN., Carri and Jennifer Alloway of Cambridge, Bricee Mathew Alloway and Raven Woodard of Cambridge, Katelin Mae Alloway of Cambridge; great grandchildren, Chloe, Michael and Bradley Williams all of Cambridge; special cousins, Lucille (John) Shriver of Lancaster, Ruth Ann (Terry) Conrad of Lancaster, and Hazel (Steve) Blackwell of TN.; several nieces and nephews; three close friends, Kay Curts, Dawn Gardner and Karen Lambes. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge where services will be on Friday at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Antrim Community Cemetery.
