Betty Marlene Bell

Betty Marlene Bell, 63, of Cambridge, passed away Saturday (December 27, 2008) at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. She was born on August 16, 1945 in Quaker City, daughter of the late Charles Donald Smith and Lillian Merl (Williams) Smith. Mrs. Bell was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She collected angels, Coca-Cola memorabilia and sunflowers. Mrs. Bell was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Bell, who passed away on January 20, 1987; and a grandson, Joshua. She is survived by two sons, Johnny Palmer of Cambridge and Raymond (& Kathy) Scott of Cambridge; three daughters, Bunnie (& Ed Winland) Scott of Salesville, Sherri (& Dave Wertz) Choma of Cambridge and Betty Wallace of Cambridge; two brothers, Charles Smith of Quaker City and Terry (& Marcia) Smith of Old Washington; a sister, Martha (& Joe) Hughes of Columbus; seven grandchildren, Bryant, Caitlin, Codey, Shayla, Marina, Brooke and Drew; three step-grandchildren, Brent, Richard and Becca; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Wednesday (December 31, 2008) at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
