Betty A. Buttress, 93, of Cambridge, died Saturday (March 29, 2014) at the Westminster Thurber Community of Columbus.
She was born September 4, 1920 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Albert Buttress and Hafefe (Gemayel) Buttress.
Miss Buttress worked for Medical Associates of Cambridge.
She was a member of Christ Our Light Parish. She was also a member of Catholic Women's Club and Catholic Daughters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, George, Neausrie (Naz), Mitchell, Aneese, and Joseph Buttress; and two nephews, John Buttress and Michael Boerger.
She is survived by a sister, Rose Boerger of Columbus; three sisters-in-law, Theresa Buttress of Cambridge, Smaya Buttress of Cambridge, and Mary Buttress of Columbus; fourteen nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and her dear friends, Liz Lewis and Eileen McAndrews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge.
Additional visitation will be held Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday (April 3, 2014) at 11 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge, with Father Robert Borer officiating.
Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Cambridge.
