Betty E. Chambers, 80, of Quaker City passed away Monday (October 28, 2013) at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, WV. She was born November 18, 1932 in New Martinsville, WV and was the daughter of the late Martin Berther and Ivy Minnie (Fulmer) Rogers. Mrs. Chambers was previously employed at the Piedmont Marina, was a member of Quaker City Church of Christ and was a 1950 graduate of Magnolia High School. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son Glen Anthony Daugherty; one daughter Lorrie Ann Chambers; two brothers, Clifford Rogers and William H. Rogers. She is survived by two sons, John Scott Daugherty of Wileyville WV and Jeffrey Michael Chambers of Moundsville, WV; three daughters, Robin (John M.) Pittman of Reader WV, Melinda Sue Daugherty of Pompano Beach, FL and Tammy (Ernie) Wells of Quaker City; eight grandchildren, Leslie Pittman, Ashley Fecat, Katara Holmes, Jeffrey Michael Pittman, Nick Wells, Corey Chambers, Kristan Chambers and Alexis Daugherty; nine great grandchildren. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City where services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery.
