Betty Margaret Dollison, 91, of Old Washington, died Thursday (June 10, 2010) at Southeastern Med, Cambridge. She was born Sept. 4,1918, in Byesville daughter of the late Homer B. and Delpha (Wilson) Oliver. Mrs. Dollison was Methodist by faith. She was president of the Old Washington Homemakers Club Extension. She enjoyed crafts, cooking and was a very successful "water dowser." She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Dollison, whom she married Dec. 10, 1939. She was very proud of being married for 68 years; four brothers, Freeman "Pete" Oliver, James A. Oliver, Harry and John Oliver. She is survived by two nephews, Gary Garvin of Cambridge and Michael Fitzsimmons of Florida; seven nieces, Linda Wasnich of Toledo, Sandra Beers of Zanesville, Debra Burlingame of Newark, Jackie Rowe of Arizona, Diane Clinton of Newark, Vicki Lucey of Hawaii and Nita Fitzsimmons of Newark; 9 great-nieces and great-nephews, Leann Betross of Dresden, Jetia Hollins of Gahanna, Tyra Green of Columbus, Amber Burlingame of Columbus, Jayne Burlingame of Cambridge, Chelsea Wasnich of Toledo, William Lee Beers of Adamsville, Andrew "Jake" Garvin of Cambridge and Haley Wasnich of Toledo. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge. Memorial contributions may be made to the Guernsey County Humane Society or Pound Partners.
