Betty A. Edwards

Betty A. Edwards, 85, of Cambridge, died Monday (December 19, 2011) at her home. She was born July 29, 1926 in Florence, daughter of the late Peter Paul Kusnerak and Elizabeth Christina (Belobrat) Kusnerak. Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ Our Light Parish. Mrs. Edwards was also a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, the VFW Post 2901 Auxiliary, and the DAV Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer E. Edwards, who died August 24, 1991; a daughter, Rosemarie Watson; and a granddaughter, Brenda Jean Watson. She is survived by a son, Edward E. (& Olivia) Edwards of Cambridge; two daughters, Carrie (& John) Bennett of Cambridge and Teresa L. (& David) Fitch of Barnesville; ten grandchildren, Brian (& Leslie) Watson of Bismarck ND, Carla Watson of Tampa FL, David (& Amanda) Fitch Jr. of Barnesville, Brad (& Sunny Jo) Fitch of Barnesville, Kevin Lambert of Cambridge, Ed Edwards Jr. (AKA Emmerson Spires) of Cambridge, James (& Mary K.) Edwards of Cambridge, Chad (& Amanda) Edwards of Cambridge, Amanda (& Baudel) Gonzales of Cocoa FL, and Graften (& Tina) Edwards of Cambridge; and seventeen great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, with Eagles Auxiliary services beginning at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday (December 22, 2011) at 10:30 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge, with Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
