Betty J. Hill, 89, of Cambridge, died Monday (May 10, 2021) in Guernsey County.

She was born November 9, 1931 in Guernsey County, daughter of the late William H. Black and Lillie (Myers) Black.

Mrs. Hill was a homemaker.  She was a graduate of Old Washington High School.

She loved to fish.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Hill, who died October 19, 2005.  They were married June 8, 1949.  Also deceased is a daughter-in-law, Laurel Hill.

She is survived by two sons, Edward R. Hill of Cambridge and Casey (Cindy) Hill of Cambridge; a brother, Norman Black of Middlebourne; two grandchildren, Sean Hill and Mandel Hill; and five great-grandchildren, Taylor, Cassi, Izzi, Dakota, and Treston.

Visitation will be held Thursday (May 13, 2021) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Family and friends are all welcome, but due to COVID-19, FACE COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED.  Please take all precautions to ensure your own safety and everyone else's should you decide to attend.

Private family funeral services will be held at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, on Friday (May 14, 2021) with Evang. Mark Beros officiating.

Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.

As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
