Betty M. Keith, 87, of Cambridge, died Sunday (January 4, 2015) at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell. She was born July 15, 1927 in Byesville, daughter of the late Edward Talbert and Bertha (Ruggles) Talbert. Mrs. Keith retired after twenty-seven years as an LPN at the former Cambridge State Hospital She attended the Stop 9 Church of Christ in Byesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Alva T. Keith Jr., who died June 24, 1999. They were married February 18, 1956. Also deceased are three brothers, Pete, Wade and Fred Talbert; and a sister, Avie Mullins. She is survived by two sons, Jerry (& Lisa) Keith of Senecaville and Jim (& Jo) Williams of Parkersburg WV; a grandson, Troy (& Mary) Keith of St. George UT; two great-grandsons, Colten and Cael Keith; several nieces and nephews, including a niece, Judy (& Jay) Mahley; special great-nephew, Scott Roberts, Michelle, Mike and Jenna; and her special neighbors, Bob and Oasie Veselenak. The family wishes to say a special thanks to Summit Acres for their excellent care. Visitation will be Tuesday (January 6, 2015) from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Nancy Parsons officiating. Burial will follow at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
