Beulah A. Pennington

Beulah A. Pennington, 81, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (November 12, 2013) at Kindred of Cambridge. She was born March 23, 1932 in Pennington Gap VA, daughter of the late Earl Scott and Clercie (Moore) Scott. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed bird-watching and gardening. She also liked to watch her soap operas on the television. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cletis J. Pennington, who died March 2, 2007. They were married on June 11, 1946. She is survived by a son, Darrell (& Susie) Pennington of Cambridge; daughters, Josette Stage, Kathy Pennington, and twin daughters, Carmen Pennington and Carla (& Ronnie) Stephens all of Cambridge; a brother, Carson Scott of Indiana; two sisters, Sylvia Carter of Cincinnati and Alice Fay Graves of New Hampshire; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild; and her beloved dog, Sammie. Family and friends may call Friday (November 15, 2013) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Sturman Moore officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Beulah's name to the Humane Society of Guernsey County, PO Box 422, Cambridge OH 43725.
