Beverly L. Erbes, 90, of Cambridge, died Saturday (March 11, 2017) at Countryview Assisted Living.
Beverly was born July 10,1926 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Charles A. McWilliams and Roxie P. (Allender ) McWilliams.
She retired from the Cambridge Developmental Center, where she worked as a shift supervisor.
She was a member of VFW 2901 Ladies Auxillary, Moose Auxillary, Eagles Auxillary and D.A.V. Auxillary. She enjoyed fishing and going to fairs. She loved her family and kids.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pierre R. Erbes, who died February 21, 1996 and whom she married October 20, 1944; a son, Donald Erbes and his wife Cheryl; four brothers, Ralph, Harry, Donald and Delbert McWilliams; and four sisters, Edna Walters, Bernadine Toman, June Knott and Dorothy Millar.
She is survived by a son, Gary (Donna) Erbes of Lincolnton, NC; a daughter; Susan Tarrou of Charleston, W. Va.; a sister; Freda Warner of Cambridge; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a special niece; Lynn Ball of Cambridge.
Visitation will be held Tuesday (March 14, 2017) from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where a funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. with Rev. Matt Wilson officiating.
Burial will follow at Guernsey Memory Gardens.
