Bobby Lee Jones

Bobby Lee Jones, age 88, of Zanesville, passed away at 11:35AM on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Genesis Morrison House surrounded by his loving family.

Bobby was born on Saturday, June 27, 1936, in Cambridge, Ohio.

Bobby was a family man above all. He was always doing something. He loved to fish, hunt golf balls, and craft. He boasted a huge collection of golf balls and sold grave mounds each Christmas. In his younger days, he enjoyed hustling at the pool hall and playing basketball. He worked at Western and Southern Life Insurance Company for thirty years. He was a member of Putnam Presbyterian Church in Zanesville, Ohio for sixty years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Wilma Jones and his brothers, Tom, Junior, and Rick Jones.

Bobby is survived by his wife of seventy years, Oma Eileen Jones, his sisters, Karen Jones and Sandra Tittle, four children, Tim Jones, Debbie (Don) Johnston, Dr. Kathi Norman, and Carol (Greg) Wendel, his grandchildren, Desiree Jones, Bob (Amanda) Jones, Lauren (Keane) Mossman, Mary (Emmett) Keany, Melinda Norman, Matthew (Sarah) Norman, Roxanne (Kent) Suggs, and Alec Wendel, as well as many great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 11AM-1PM at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge with the service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Northwood Cemetery.
