Bobby S. Powell

Bobby S. Powell, 59, of Cambridge, died Thursday (January 12, 2012) at the Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born June 27, 1952 in Cleveland, son of the late Albert Powell and Viola Sophie (McRath) Powell. Mr. Powell worked at Plastech in the maintenance department. He was a member of The Salvation Army Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing golf. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thomasina (Strong) Powell, who died January 11, 2011; a step-daughter, M. Yvette Hunter; and a grandson, Thomas Powell. He is survived by two daughters, Joyai Powell (& James Roberts) of Winterset and Sophia R. Powell of Coshocton; a step-daughter, Casandra Juanita Hunter of Cambridge; two step-sons, Tyrone Hunter of Cambridge and Raymond D. Hunter of Pennsylvania; a brother, Charles Powell of Cleveland; a sister, Juanita Lattimore of Cleveland; sixteen grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Family and friends may call on Monday (January 16, 2012) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 7 p.m.
