Bonnie L. Harper, 77, of Cambridge, died Saturday (December 11, 2021) at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 14, 1944 in Guernsey County, daughter of the late Sylvan Morris and Hilda (Ankrom) Morris.
Mrs. Harper retired from NCR, where she had worked in sequence control. She was also a daycare provider for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. "Hump" Harper, who died August 13, 2007. They were married September 17, 1960. Also deceased is a son, Jimmy Lee Harper; four brothers, Roy, Raymond, Larry and Ronald; and two sisters, Carol Knouff and Nada Casey.
She is survived by two sons, John Wesley Harper and Ben Harper both of Cambridge; two daughters, Laura Harper and Melanie (Jeff) Chesa both of Cambridge; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; and a special friend, Dorsie Pennington.
Visitation will be held Tuesday (December 14, 2021) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Chesa officiating.
Friends and family are welcome, but due to COVID-19 please take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety and everyone else's should you decide to attend.
Burial will follow at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
