Bonnie J. Kenworthy

Bonnie J. Kenworthy, 78, of Cambridge passed away Thursday (June 4, 2015) at Lafayette Point Nursing Home. She was born February 25, 1937 in Cambridge and was the daughter of the late George and Edna (Pearson) Shelton. Bonnie retired from the former State Hospital as a telephone operator. She was a long time volunteer at the former Guernsey Memorial Hospital, and also volunteered at Cambridge City Schools and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. She loved shopping, especially for others, she was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, that lived her life with dignity, and a deep respect for others. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son Herbert Kenworthy. She is survived by her husband Herbert Kenworthy; one son Charles (Kelley) Kenworthy of Cambridge; one daughter Cathy (James) Johnson of Cambridge; one brother Jack L. (Helen) Shelton of Florida; one sister Sandra Rohrbough of Cambridge; one daughter-in-law Lora Kenworthy of Cambridge; six grandchildren, Joshua, Shayla and Briana Johnson , Ashley, Amber and Brittany Kenworthy; four great grandchildren, Mason Conrad, Braiden Hatcher, Kylan Hunter and Rexx Johnson. Calling hours will be Monday (June 8th) from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge where services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Keith Peachey officiating. Burial will be in Guernsey Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 500 S. 7th St., Cambridge, Ohio 43725 or the Alzheimer's Association, Great East Ohio Chapter, 70 West Streetsboro St., Suite 201, Hudson, Ohio 44236.
