Brenda "B.B." Sue Batten

Brenda Sue "B.B." Batten, 47, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (December 8, 2010) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. She was born February 14, 1963 in Garfield Heights, daughter of Clarence Newcomer and Doyleen (Evans) Newcomer. Ms. Batten was a graduate of Washington Vocational School and had worked at Arby's for several years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and was looking forward to the arrival of a new grandchild in June of 2011. She is survived by her parents, Clarence and Doyleen Newcomer; a son, William Hardy of Cambridge; two daughters, Cassandra (& Harry Jr.) Mahley of Cambridge and Courtney (& Charlie) Ohler of Cambridge; a brother, Robert Gene (& Char) Newcomer of Zanesville; two sisters, Debi (& Frank) Burke of Cambridge and Brenda's twin sister, Pamela J. Pifer of Cambridge; five granddaughters, Kelee Mahley, Trinidee Mahley, Jennasee Mahley, Jewels Mahley, and Zeeva Ohler; and her long-time companion, William Hardy of the home. Family and friends may call on Saturday (December 11, 2010) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. No funeral services will be held at this time.
