Carol Jean Taylor, 68, of Lore City, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026, at her home.
Carol was born July 16, 1957, in Cambridge, a daughter to the late Ralph Lynn and Dorothy Ruth (Pulley) Bonnell.
She was a waitress at the Shenandoah Inn and was Christian by faith. She enjoyed dancing, dining out and listening to Country music.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step- father, Walter C. Bonnell; her husband, Johnny David Taylor, who passed November 2, 2002; and two brothers, Raymond and Robert Lynn.
She is survived by her sons, Eric Lynn of Byesville; Christopher (& Nikole) Delong of Norwalk; Jay (& April) Taylor of Old Washington; her step- son, Nathan Taylor of Florida; her daughters, Carolea Delong of Old Washington and Melissa (& Ashley) Lenarz of Old Washington; her brothers, Paul (& Brenda) Bonnell of Cambridge, Delbert (& Sherry) Bonnell of North Carolina, and Sam Bonnell of Byesville; and her sisters, Sharon Taylor of Old Washington, Patricia Lynn of Cambridge, Janice Campbell of Byesville, Clara (& Gary) Woods of Antrim, Mary Clifton of Claysville, Barbara Hodkinson of Byesville, and Debbie Alexander of Cambridge. Also left to cherish her memory, are eleven grandchildren, four great- grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and good friends.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date. A private graveside will take place.
