Carolyn Sue (Bates) Brown

Carolyn Sue Brown, 67, of Salesville, died Monday (November 5, 2007) at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Kentucky. She was born on March 24, 1940 in Noble County, daughter of Helen (Hull) Bates and the late Paul Richard Bates. Mrs. Brown was a retired Salesville Postmaster. Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Quaker City High School. She enjoyed cooking and reading. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Salesville Church of Faith. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dale Brown, who died on March 30, 2007. They were married on October 11, 1958. Also deceased is a son, Robert D. Brown Jr. She leaves her mother, Helen (Hull) Bates of Salesville; two sons, Chris (& Crystal) Brown of Salesville and Paul (& Dana) Brown of Corinth KY; a sister, Naomi Kay Ferguson of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Michael, Steven, Frankie and Myah; and two great-grandchildren, Kassie and Blaine. No calling hours will be observed. Private family graveside services will be held on Friday (November 9, 2007). Burial will be at Salesville Cemetery, Salesville.
