Cathy R. McWilliams, 56, of Cambridge, died Thursday (March 4, 2010) at Genesis-Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville. She was born September 19, 1953 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Andrew Slay and Mabel I. (Valentine) Slay. Mrs. McWilliams was a bartender at the Cambridge Moose Lodge. She was a member of the Women of the Moose. She loved fishing, gardening and playing darts with her husband. She dearly loved her grandkids. She is survived by her husband, John McWilliams of the home, whom she married January 31, 2004; a daughter, Julie (& Jody) Berger of Cambridge; two brothers, David (& Peggy) Slay of West Lafayette and Charles (& Jane) Slay of Bremen; three sisters, Becky (& Bob) Moore of Murfreesboro TN, Mary Jane (& Bub) Duncan of Atlanta GA and Connie (& Steve) Mehaffey of Cambridge; three grandchildren, Kelli, Derek and Kennedy Rose; three step-grandchildren, Brittany, Coby and Leann Berger; and her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Jack and Carol McWilliams of Cambridge. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held on Monday (March 8, 2010) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Sturman Moore officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
