Cecil C. Wilson

Cecil C. Wilson, 90, of Caldwell, died Saturday (April 27, 2013) at Summit Acres Nursing Home. He was born April 6, 1923 in Crooked Tree, son of the late Mark Wilson and Minnie (Reed) Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a lifelong Ohio resident, except for his service in the Pacific Theater during World War II as a member of the Army's 37th Infantry Buckeye Division. He was a union printer for forty years, serving three Ohio newspapers. He coached Little League baseball in Cambridge for many years and was an avid supporter of the Cleveland Indians and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a generous, well-read, and independent person who never met a person he would not speak with. He is survived by his daughter, Wanda, of Atlanta GA; his son, Stanley and his wife, Cathy, of Chapel Hill NC; three grandchildren, Brannon, Nikki, and Shay; a great-granddaughter, Josie; a brother, Larry; and two sisters, Mildred and Evelyn. No calling hours will be observed. No funeral services will be held at this time.
