Charles B. Siegfried

Charles B. "Chuck" Siegfried, 93, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (June 6, 2007) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. He was born on April 15, 1914 in Cambridge, son of the late Marshal Siegfried and Nellie May (Barr) Siegfried. He married Elsie Gail Brock on September 5, 1936. Mr. Siegfried retired in 1965 from Universal Pottery after forty years of service, where he had been a kiln foreman. He also retired from Cambridge Machine after ten years of service. Mr. Siegfried was a member of Faith United Methodist Church of Cambridge. He was a member of Cambridge Masonic Lodge # 66 F. & A.M. and the Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge. He was an avid fisherman. He was in many area bands, playing both guitar and harmonica. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Gail (Brock) Siegfried, who died on February 10, 2007; three brothers, Kenneth, Raymond and Jack Siegfried; and a sister, Mary Jane Eddy. He leaves a son, Charles Dallas "Corky" (& Carolyn) Siegfried of Cambridge; five grandchildren, Cathy Cale, Elisa Waite, Rochelle Vincent, Kurtis Siegfried and Kristopher Siegfried; fourteen great-grandchildren; an expected great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Jeannetta Oakley and Gloria Siegfried both of Cambridge; two brothers-in-law, Ralph Brock of Cambridge and Bill Brock of Circleville; and several nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Saturday (June 9, 2007) from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 12 Noon with Pastor Mick Foster officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
