Charles Robert Bennett

Charles Robert Bennett, 69, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (July 17, 2018) at the Cleveland VA Hospital.

He was born June 4, 1949 in Cambridge, son of Virginia (Howell) Bennett and the late William Bennett.

Mr. Bennett retired from Shield Alloy, where he had been a supervisor for many years.

He was a member of the Cambridge VFW Post 2901, American Legion, Elks, Moose, and Eagles Aerie 386.

Mr. Bennett was a US Navy veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Bennett.

He is survived by his mother, Virginia Bennett of Cambridge; a son, Charles Robert "Bob" Bennett of Cambridge; two daughters, Twila (& Bob) Hewison of Pleasant City and Robin Bennett of Lore City; two brothers, Bill (& Dixie) Bennett of Oregon and Mike Bennett of Cambridge; two sisters, Linda L. Bennett and Pam (& Kevin) Olden both of Cambridge; nine grandchildren, Chelsie Ross, Alysia Bozarth, Brooklyne Bennett, Alyssa (& Josh) Wright, Justin Ayers, Trevor Bennett, Jonét Mitchell, Jaeta Mitchell, and Tyrek Mitchell; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

No calling hours will be observed. No funeral services will be held at this time.
