Charles "Chuck" Coulter, 67, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (February 16, 2010) at Genesis-Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville. He was born May 2, 1942 in Dayton, son of the late Frederick Coulter and Sara (Evelyn) Fleming Coulter. He was an operator for Local #18, District 6 in Akron for many years. Chuck was a member of a very close group of friends, who called him "the Workboot Einstein". He was a former member of the Cassell Station Fire Department. One of Chuck's qualities was helping his friends and neighbors at no charge. His kids thought he could "put a tail on a tailless dog". He was a 1960 graduate of Cambridge High School. He was a US Air Force veteran, having served from 1961 to 1963. He is survived by his wife, Becky (Williamson) Coulter of the home, whom he married November 17, 1963; a brother, Mike (& Connie) Coulter of Cambridge; three daughters, Denise "Deci" (& David) McDermott of Johnstown, Lori Kirkman of New Concord and Angel (& Rob) Hickman of Frazeysburg; a son, Chuckie (& Brandy) Coulter of Byesville; his grandchildren, Emily McDermott, Coulter McDermott, Eric Kirkman, Shane Kirkman, Addison Kohman, Charly Coulter, Candy Jo Coulter, Skyler Coulter, Shala Hickman and Shanell Hickman; his brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Tom Williamson of Cambridge, David (& Peggy) Williamson of Cambridge and Dick (& Ann) Preston of Cambridge; and numerous nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held on Saturday (February 20, 2010) at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Jay Henderson officiating.
