Charles A. "Chuck" Dragosin, 86, of Lore City, died Monday (February 23, 2009) at the Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on March 24, 1922 in Cambridge, son of the late Adam and Faye (LaFollette) Dragosin. Mr. Dragosin worked in the kitchen department at the former Cambridge State Hospital for thirty years, fifteen of which were as a meat cutter. He had previously worked at Universal Pottery. He was a member of the Lore City United Methodist Church. He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren. He raced homing pigeons and also raised poultry. Mr. Dragosin was a U.S. Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Jerry Dragosin; two brothers, Paul and William "Billy" Dragosin; and two sisters, Reba Thomas and Lucille Ramsey. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen R. (Hill) Dragosin of the home, whom he married on February 26, 1949; two sons, Terry (& Brenda) Dragosin of New Concord and Jeff (& Susie) Dragosin of Byesville; three sisters, Sarah Haynes of Cambridge, Norma (& Tom) Hill of Canton and Mary Lam of Michigan; four grandchildren, Jessica Dragosin of Byesville, Stacey (& Joe) Snider of New Concord, Tiffany Dragosin of New Concord and Angela Dragosin of Newark; and three great-grandchildren, Mason Adam Snider, Porter Joseph Snider and Brielle Nicole Snider. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Thursday (February 26, 2009) at 2 p.m. with Joseph Snider officiating. Burial will be at Center Cemetery, with military graveside services conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
