Charles E. "Chuck" Farmer, 82, of Lore City, died Thursday (November 12, 2020) at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville.
He was born June 18, 1938 in Dexter KY, son of the late Edward A. Farmer and Bedie (Dixon) Farmer.
Mr. Farmer had worked as a machinist at the Vandorn Machine Shop in Brunswick for many years.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eagles Aerie 386, and Moose Lodge all of Cambridge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Higginbotham) Farmer; and two sisters, Sheila Martin and Hilda Davis.
He is survived by his six children - three sons, Ed (Kaye) Higginbotham of Nixa MO, Jim (Ann) Farmer of West Paducah KY, Rick (Lorretta) Farmer of Newport News VA and three daughters, Charlotte (Bruce) Finkler of Brunswick, Brenda Farmer (Sonny Freehoffer) of Brunswick, Janet Farmer-Haney (James Haney) of Lodi; two brothers, Cecil Farmer of Michigan and Chuck Farmer of Kentucky; a sister, Beatrice Ellison of South Dakota; twelve grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday (November 16, 2020) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. [Per our Governor's current COVID-19 guidelines, face coverings are required to attend the visitation and/or services. Thank you.]
Additional services will be held in Brunswick at the Waite & Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery, Brunswick.
