Charles Griffith, 75, of Cambridge, died Monday (September 26, 2016) at his home. He was born February 27, 1941 in Roane County WV, son of the late Samuel Griffith and Juanita (Moore) Griffith. Mr. Griffith had worked for Guernsey Residential for many years. He cherished spending time with his family and was a member of the Cambridge Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He loved participating in public ministries. Mr. Griffith was a US Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David Michael Griffith and Edward Griffith; an infant sister, Carolyn Kay Griffith; and a stepson, Jeff Griffith. He is survived by his wife, Joyce (McClure) Griffith, whom he married March 14, 1970; a son, Jason Griffith of Columbus; two sisters, Patsy (& Tom) Tomlinson of Green Cove Springs FL and Charlotte (& Bill) Markley of Byesville; and a favorite nephew, Jamie Markley of Byesville. A memorial service will be held Saturday (October 1, 2016) at 3 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (6604 Glenn Highway, Cambridge OH 43725) with congregation members officiating. Inurnment will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
