Charles Eugene McInerney Moore, 70, of Claysville, left to be with the Lord on Friday (Dec. 16, 2011) surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born to the late John F. and Ida (Sexton) Moore McInerney. Mr. Moore served with the U.S. Navy and traveled to 14 different countries. He retired as a national boiler inspector with the State of Ohio. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt and trap. He loved old cars and swap meets. He loved his family and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Janice (Ferrell) Moore; four sons, Charles J. (Rebecca) Moore of Caldwell, Michael L. (Melissa) Moore of Tennessee, Travis E. (Angela) Moore of Cumberland and Mark Peoples of Kipling; several brothers and sisters; seven granddaughters and four grandsons. Family and friends may call on Thursday (December 22, 2011) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Gary Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be at Zion Cemetery.
